1. Joining hands with organisations and communities who are genuinely concerned about crime to root out crime in our communities. In this regard we have formed working relationship with organisations such as Asilwani Cleaning Streets, Mecchart, various Community Policing Forums etc. We have equally combined forces with communities of Polokwane, Kaalfontein, Kuruman, Posmasburg, Johannesburg South etc. These collaborations has started producing results. 2. NUSA started a campaign against human trafficking, drugs and prostitution last year. It is still ongoing. 3. NUSA officials at all levels are visiting trenches educating our people on the neccessity of living a crime free life. We advise our people on the alternative means of making a living legitimately. 4. We are cooperating with the authorities to curb crime and also correct the perception that only Nigerians do crime. Or that all Nigerians are criminals. And many more that we cannot discuss here. Note that it is not the duty of NUSA to fight crime but as patriotic citizens we help the authorities in the pursuit for a crime-free society. Next time before u ask 'what is NUSA doing to stop the attack on Nigerians and curb crime? first ask 'what have i done to make a positive change on these issues?; How many times have i reported crime to the police? Do not be an armchair critique. Be a change agent.
